THE FROG
Common frogs are most active at night. They can breathe through their skin (as well as their lungs), and hibernate during the winter under piles of rotting leaves, logs or stones, or in pond mud.

THE SLUG Slugs are similar to snails, but they don’t have a shell. They’re not very fond of cold weather, so when it’s colder than 5° they’ll snuggle down deep into the soil to keep warm.
